If there must be trouble, let it be in my day… That my child may know peace…

Having 10 children is not something I ever planned or anticipated… – suffice to say – I was blessed that way…

Looking back over 40 years of living through all I have – I’m reminded how blessed I am – and a great concern is the safety and sound body/mind of my children and grand children…

In my life’s time thus far = it’s safe to say that most people cannot comprehend some of the things I’ve seen and lived through – and in the end – having retired from the last corporation I built up – I truly am blessed. I’m not wealthy in worldly things – but spiritually I am reminded just how blessed I am…. If there must be trouble, let it be in my day – that my children, and theirs, may know peace.

I believe strongly in the founding of the United States… Theodore Hamilton came here in 1790 and our generations of family came from him… Following the civil war we lost a lot of family that came to the colonies – and my dad was one of the first to actually go to college and break out of the hardships of farming and living a life with very little.

I sincerely pray that soon – the United States come about face  – and we return to our roots, and that people can elect the government for the people – not what we’ve become in my generation. I’m ashamed at much of what I’ve seen in just the past 4 decades.

None of my children followed me. No Armed Services, not technology buffs – just children – finding their way in their space and time . There is nothing wrong with that and I believe they all deserve the opportunity to be all that they can be – and support them in that context.

I am hopeful this year and 2020 will prove to be major turning points in political personnel we vote into office. I sense winds of change coming and that they’re positive compared to my life’s time.

Our children are our most precious gifts in life…. Nothing comes closer, save God Himself…

Each morning when you rise… face the mirror – and consider – do you like the person looking back?

Thoughts??? Please feel free to comment…

Thanks for visiting the Evening Cup….
